Picking tools and watching the total change happens entirely in your browser — nothing is sent to us while you do it.

When you press Optimize my stack, we save that audit: the tools you picked, the computed totals, the date, and a short link so you can come back to it or share it. No name, no email, no account. The link is unguessable and never indexed, but anyone you send it to can open it.

We also record where the visit came from — one word like reddit or direct, plus the domain that linked you (never the full address, which could carry your search terms). It tells us which channels are worth our time. It is attached to the audit, not to you.

If you ask for a migration guide PDF, we store the name and email you type so we can send it, and so we can email you about CostMyStack later. Reply to any of it to be removed.

We count page views with Google Analytics, which sets a cookie — so we ask first, and it does not load unless you accept. Declining changes nothing about how the site works.

We do not sell data, run ad trackers, or share any of the above with the tools we recommend. Affiliate links tell a vendor that a signup came from CostMyStack; they carry nothing about your stack.
